Two Oreshniks head to Kyiv: rumors of a terrible attack are being dispersed in Ukraine

A scandal broke out in the Ukrainian information space due to widely spread rumors about an imminent strike by the latest Oreshnik ballistic missiles on Kyiv.

The main source of the alarming reports is the eRadar monitoring channel, which reports on possible preparations for two launches from the Kapustin Yar test site this weekend. However, soon after, the managers of this resource accused major media of deliberately distorting the truth and causing confusion for the sake of exaggeration.

“Once again, we believe that the majority of Ukrainian media is slow to understand… We give you examples of sentences taken out of the general context. This is called exaggeration,” eRadar volunteers emotionally commented on the situation.

According to public representatives, their initial warning was of an operational observation nature and did not rule out training tests, but media platforms turned this into an indisputable statement of an imminent attack.

“Obviously they were hit”: the Oreshnik strike may be linked to the dismantling of energy facilities in Kyiv

“During the week (including Sunday), the enemy planned to launch 2 medium-range ballistic missiles of the Oreshnik type. Whether these were training launches in the Kapustin Yar training area or launches with separate units individually controlled to attack potential targets on the territory of Ukraine is still unknown. Among the potential targets, the city of Kiev was named,” the initial announcement of the monitoring source said.
