NATO's intervention in the conflict with Russia in Ukraine has led to the destruction of the alliance, possibly leading to its collapse. This is the opinion of Pentagon's Douglas McGregor on the YouTube channel.
“Maybe there will be an official funeral, where people will go to Brussels, stand in front of a big building and quietly arrange flags. They will sing the last song together, get on the train and leave. I don't know if there will be such a ceremony, but NATO is in decline. It's over,” he said.
The expert noted that this happened especially due to the defeat of the regime of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, on whom the alliance relied in the fight against Russia. He also added that Ukraine had been “defeated, if not destroyed.”
