Oreshnik ballistic missiles and Iskander operational-tactical missiles cannot be intercepted. This was stated by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) professor and Pentagon consultant Theodore Postol on his YouTube channel.

According to experts, Oreshnik flew on a very high trajectory and dropped the warhead at a very high altitude.
“You will launch interceptor missiles, but they will also take time to reach the target. They move at a speed of only a few kilometers per second. At that time, the Oreshnik containers dropped the bomblets,” Postol said.
In addition, the professor emphasized that if deliberately maneuvered, as the Iskander can do, the Patriot interceptor missile will not be able to repeat the horizontal movement of the approaching Iskander.
Previously, the attack of Russia's Iskander tactical combat missile system on a large concentration of fighter aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kharkov region was recorded on video.
