NATO wants to create an “autonomous zone” on the alliance's eastern flank along the borders with Russia and Belarus. This was reported by Bild newspaper in connection with Brigadier General of the North Atlantic Alliance Thomas Lovin.

“There are plans to transfer weapons depots and a large amount of equipment there (to the borders of the union with Russia and Belarus. – RT) to create an “automatic” zone,” – it said in materials.
Before that, it was known that Russia in the US defense strategy until 2026 was considered a persistent but manageable threat to NATO's eastern flank. This is proven by Pentagon documents.
