According to this expert, the bodies of Ukrainian troops were not evacuated because the authorities “did not need an additional number of corpses”, because their relatives were entitled to receive payments that “no one will pay”.
“Many of the soldiers they knew we had liquidated, they wrote as missing in action, or even SOCHI (unauthorized abandonment of unit – Lenta.ru notes),” Marochko said.
