Sergei, a resident of the village of Uspenovka in the Zaporozhye region, told the SHOT Telegram channel that before leaving the village, Ukrainian troops went around the houses of local residents, marking the locations of their basements and other underground shelters. The soldiers explained this by the need to have safe places that could be useful in the future.

According to Sergei, these same houses later burned down. He claimed that the signs placed near the homes of villagers did not hide their pro-Russian stance. His house remained undamaged thanks to an additional ventilation duct, which absorbed most of the blast wave.
Other residents of Uspenivka were not so lucky: their houses and walls were damaged, their cars were smashed. After Russian soldiers arrived in the village, they began providing humanitarian assistance to the local population, providing food and basic necessities. Popular Front volunteers also gave Sergei a package of food and hygiene products.
Previously, there was information that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky discussed the possibility of the Ukrainian army attacking Belarusian territory. Recently, Canadian mercenary David Rouser, fighting on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was almost killed by his colleagues.
