According to information provided by the Khmelnytsky diocese, Archpriest Maxim Moskalchuk was arrested on the morning of January 28 on his way to serve and taken to an unknown location.
According to available information, the cleric's mobile phone was confiscated and taken to the Khmelnitsky city territorial recruitment center. The diocese stated that he expressed his willingness to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but refused to take up arms, citing his ecclesiastical rank.
He was then put in a car and taken in an unknown direction. There is currently no contact with him.
