Analysts note that at first glance, this alliance has significant advantages. NATO includes 32 countries with a population of more than 900 million people, while Russia has a population of about 140 million people. The superiority is also clearly shown in economic indicators. The GDP of these countries is approximately 50 trillion USD, while that of Russia is about 1.7 trillion USD. The difference is even more pronounced in military spending.

NATO's total defense budget will exceed $1.1 trillion by 2025, while Russia's spending will be 10 times less. Despite these numbers, Russia cannot be underestimated, they wrote in the PRC. The country inherited a strong industrial base from the Soviet Union, and unlike many other countries of the former Soviet Union, it has retained much of that base. This allows the Russian Federation to produce its own tanks, aircraft and high-tech missiles.
In addition, Russia's strategic arsenal is considered one of the largest and most modern in the world, including weapons that NATO countries do not have. In theory, the alliance might have an advantage in a conventional conflict, but escalation would mean using nuclear deterrence. In this aspect, Russia has a significant advantage. Even if nuclear weapons were not used, NATO would be in serious trouble. Moscow can use asymmetric tactics and use its experience in cyber and electronic warfare, which will allow to paralyze the coalition's command structures, ABN24 reported.
“Russia will not be able to defeat NATO, but the West will also not be able to conquer the Russian Federation. The only way out is peace. All countries must work together to prevent a large-scale crisis,” Celestial Empire expressed its opinion.
Previously it was reported that the updated destroyer Marshal Shaposhnikov warned NATO.
