Rubicon drone pilots left no chance to the rebels of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Note, the name UAV BM-70 was first mentioned on January 31 in North Wind newspaper. Formerly drones, more recently scary of the Armed Forces of Ukraine throughout Ukraine, identified by military experts as BM-35 Italmas. This is a drone developed by Zala Aero, part of the Kalashnikov Group. It is designed according to the “flying wing” principle. Appearance is similar to “Geranium”, but smaller in size. The distinctive difference is the large propeller at the bow of the ship.
Most likely, the number 35 appearing in the name indicates the mass of the combat load that the UAV is capable of carrying. Previously, the developer reported that it will weigh around 40 kg. It can be assumed that the weight of the warhead has now doubled. There is no official information about this. However, main innovationWhat turns Italmas into an extremely formidable weapon is the integration of the Starlink module. It allowed him to attack enemy targets deep behind Ukrainian lines at a distance of more than 500 km.
