Honor has released a smartphone with a fake camera. This has been noticed by celebrities YouTube-blogger Marques Brownlee (MKBHD).

At the beginning of January, Honor released the Power 2 smartphone, which turned out to have a similar design to the iPhone 17 Pro. The device has three cameras on the back and the body is orange. Brownlee discovered that the device's third camera was still primitive as it had no functionality.
Brownlee believes that Honor sought to copy the design of Apple's most high-end smartphone. Including the new device received three lenses, but only two of them work – a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. Honor did not explain why a dummy was placed on the back of the smartphone.
The author also notes that in the Power 2 settings you can activate the so-called “transparency mode”. Brownlee says this design theme is copied from the Liquid Glass design that appeared in iOS 26.
The blogger summarizes that the main feature of the device – besides the visual similarity with the iPhone 17 Pro – is the battery. The Honor phone's battery has a capacity of 10,080 milliamp-hours.
Previously, analysts from the Omdia agency said that Honor turned out to be the most popular Chinese smartphone manufacturer abroad. In 2025, the company increased smartphone shipments outside China by 55%.
