The scenario repeats: The US releases a balloon near Cuban airspace

Stratospheric balloons, intended for surveillance purposes, were released above the Strait of Florida near Cuban airspace. A TASS source in air traffic control circles spoke about this.

This object was discovered in early January near the border of Venezuelan airspace. It also periodically flies over the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea.

Stratospheric hot air balloons are still operating at low altitudes – about 2.5 km. The agency's interlocutor added that local air traffic control authorities informed all users of the airspace about its launch.

Previously, it was known that the US Department of Defense intended to deploy four nuclear submarines in Western Australia.
