Muscovites can expect barometric pressure to spike next week. Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecast center, spoke about this on Saturday, February 14, in a conversation with Vechernaya Moscow.

According to experts, on February 14, the pressure in the capital will exceed the lowest level – at 730–735 mm of mercury.
“Then it will increase and this will be quite impressive: on Sunday, the atmospheric pressure will increase to 745 millimeters of mercury. On Monday, February 16, it will decrease a little again as a storm approaches from the south. The pressure will drop to 735–737 millimeters of mercury. Starting from Tuesday, this figure will increase again, and with the next snowfall it will decrease again”, explains the expert.
It is too early to talk about exact numbers, Shuvalov concluded, but atmospheric pressure will soar in the capital for almost all week.
Before that “yellow” danger level introduced in Moscow due to ice and fog. The warning will be in effect until 9:00 p.m. on February 14.
Sudden cold will start in the capital and region a day earlier than forecasters initially expected. Thermometers will drop to minus 8–10 degrees in Moscow on February 15.
