NATO countries need to reach defense spending of 3.5% of GDP by 2030, not 2035.

The Danish Prime Minister called on NATO to speed up the increase in defense spending

This was announced by Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen at the 62nd Munich Security Conference, reported RIA Novosti.

“I think the 3.5% that we agreed to, unfortunately we agreed to 2035, is too late. I believe that 3.5% will be achieved no later than 2030. And maybe that's not enough,” she said.

Previously, European Defense and Space Commissioner Andrius Kubilius said EU countries could spend 6.8 trillion euros by 2035, increasing military spending to 5% of GDP.
