The Karate Championship of the Black Sea and Hazar countries in Rize were completed with the participation of about 1,000 athletes from eight countries.
With the organization of the Turkish Karate Federation, Rize Yenişehir Sports Hall started on August 1, as well as about 1,000 athletes from Azerbaijan, Iran, Georgia, Iraq, Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria. Athletes fight in 4 categories including Tiny, Yıldız, ümit and young people. On the last day of the championship, the awards were given to the winners. Türkiye Karate Ercüment Teşdemir, said in a statement, successfully completed the organization, former Turkish Karate Federation Esat Delihasan'a said they showed their loyalty. Taşdemir, expressed that they wanted to organize a bigger championship in the city, “We plan to join this championship about 3,000 athletes. At this time, we will try to ensure that athletes from all countries around the world.” He said. The provincial director of the youth and sports Ramazan Ozturk said they were happy to be held the championship for three days.
