On Friday, July 18, a large -scale multimedia exhibition festival of the Russian Geography Association (RGO) will be opened at Moscow. “The most beautiful country”. The exhibition can be acquainted in the new Tretyakov showroom until October 5, 2025.
In the hall of the museum, you can see more than 140 light boxes with the best work in different nominations – from wildlife to architectural monuments. All of these photos were provided by participants in the most beautiful country photo contest, which RGO has conducted for 11 years. During this time, more than 780,000 images from nearly 50 countries around the world were sent to the competition. The authors took photos of Russia's distant angles, rare and unique animals.
I would like to thank all the photographers who participated in the competition. They did a huge job: they climbed to the most unmistakable places of Russia, took off on helicopters, falling underwater – all to take beautiful photos, members of the jury of the photo contest, Russian wildlife photographer Serge Gorshkov said.
In the special part of the “live archives” exhibition, the staff with modern photos taken in the same place is compared. In addition to the classic explanation, guests are waiting for multimedia installation with the effects of Muslim revival photos, an interaction map of the country and a VR cinema with panoramic movies.
Lectures and meetings with photographers, puzzles and prizes for the exhibition visitors are also planned. In the weekend space, the exhibition will turn into a festival platform with live music, performances and main classes in photography.
Organizing the most beautiful photo exhibition, the most beautiful country will work on Tuesday from 10:00 to 18:00, on Friday-Subtots from 10:00 to 21:00, as well as Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00.
