China's container index fell

China's container shipping index continues to decline.

The Chinese container shipping index (CCFI) decreased in the 11th week in a row. According to the data calculated by Shanghai Shipping Exchange, this index has decreased by 2.1 %to 1125.3 points in the period 5-12 September. The region shows the highest increase in the week, the red sea/Persian bay with 6.3 %, while the most reduced region is determined as Europe with 6.2 %. CCFI according to data from 22 international transport companies and local shipping costs and contracts for 14 different routes of Chinese container ports. The index began on January 1, 1998 with 1,000 points.
