Baku and Yerevan “are very close to the signing of the Peace Treaty”. This has been declared by the president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Transfer RIA news.
Aliyev issued a statement on Saturday, speaking at the Shushinsky Global Media Forum.
A peace treaty can be signed immediately after solving two issues: changes in the Armenia Constitution and the dissolution of the Minsk OSCE Group, he said.
The politician noted that the text could be delivered in advance, and Baku's representatives made such a proposal in Abu Dhabi. But “the Parafaffites of the document does not mean its signing.”
I think we are very close to the signing of a peace treaty, Mr. Ali Ayev added.
Earlier in Duma, they said the current position of Azerbaijan was “determined by the destructive actions of the Western NPO.”
