China will complete the construction of the BEST fusion facility by 2027. This was announced by Chinese Foreign Ministry representative Mao Ning, noting that it could become the world's first tokamak to generate electricity.

The project is being developed by the Institute of Plasma Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Work is being carried out in Hefei, Anhui province. The installation is based on a giant Dewar structure weighing more than 400 tons, 5 meters high and 18 meters in diameter.
Inside the system there are superconducting magnets that can keep the plasma of deuterium and tritium at minus 269 degrees.
Super Steel Fusion is developed in China
Today, humanity gets its main energy from burning minerals. These resources do not last forever and they also damage the environment.
Tokamak is being created to solve this problem. Its goal is to generate clean and nearly limitless energy through controlled nuclear fusion.
Previously, China tested the installation of EAST, also known as “artificial sun”. In 2025, she kept plasma at high temperatures for more than a thousand seconds, setting a world record.
