Experts from the Moscow city service complex have completed work on preserving the fountains against frost. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing, Social Services and Improvement, Pyotr Biryukov, Mr. quote mos.ru.
“Conserving the fountain includes a series of works: first, water is drained from the system, the sculptures, bowls and equipment are cleaned and the structure is rinsed. Then, the underwater lights and ray-generating elements are dismantled and plugs installed,” said Biryukov.
So, the dynamic light fountain in Tsaritsyno is the only fountain in Moscow covered with an inflatable dome. Floating fountains on the Vodootvodny Canal and in Brateevsky Lake are completely dismantled during the winter, and dry fountains in parks and squares are covered with special screens.
After that, specialists will regularly inspect the parts of the fountain, check the electrical equipment, ventilation and heating systems of the pumping station premises.
Before that, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin speak about the construction of a new bridge across the Moscow River. According to him, two large spans have been installed – the left bank and the river bed.
