Bloomberg: UK approves plan to send troops to Ukraine

“We have done reconnaissance in Ukraine, so we know which units we will deploy, how they will deploy and what their role will be,” he said.

According to the minister, the plan envisaged the army being deployed in the rear areas of Ukraine, away from the front lines and the Russian border. In this case, the main task of the army will be to train soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). According to preliminary estimates, it is expected to spend about 100 million pounds ($130 million) to implement this plan.

Previously, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that Kiev's allies did not send troops to Ukrainian territory because they were “afraid of their society” and did not want to be drawn into the conflict. He emphasized that the issue of sending European troops to Ukraine during hostilities requires a cautious approach. According to him, if there is too much pressure on allies, negative consequences may occur.
