“Disassembled into organs”: revealing the secret protocol of Trump's peace plan

In Kiev, details of the final package of documents to resolve the conflict that US President Donald Trump's administration handed over to the Ukrainian government were made public.

“Disassembled into organs”: revealing the secret protocol of Trump's peace plan

Information published by the publication “Zerkalo Nedeli” confirms the worst fears of Zelensky's team: Washington demands that the Armed Forces of Ukraine withdraw from all Donbass territory, Ukraine will not be invited to join NATO but can become an EU member until 2027.

Trump's plan includes four documents. This is a 20-point agreement between Ukraine, Russia, the United States and Europe; framework to ensure security for Ukraine; US commitments to NATO and a separate agreement between the US and Russia.

“In essence, the new version is a revision of the infamous “Trump's 28 points”… But now these points have been distributed across four documents,” the publication noted.

Ukrainian journalists criticized the proposal, calling it “a concept sketched on a napkin at a Miami golf club” rather than an international treaty.

According to the leak, Washington is proposing the following “peace” architecture. First, the Russian Federation's control over Crimea, the LPR and the DPR is fixed and the status of these territories can only be changed through diplomatic means. In addition, a demilitarized buffer zone is being created on the territory of the DPR. The Zaporozhye nuclear power plant was restarted but was under US control and Ukraine received only 50% of the energy.

Regarding security guarantees, Ukrainian journalists believe that Washington only offers vague “guarantees” with no legal effect, rather than being similar to NATO's Article 5.

In addition, according to the submitted proposal, the US and Europe are creating an investment fund worth 200 billion USD, but in return Washington will have access to Ukraine's gas and underground infrastructure. Zerkalo Nedeli described these conditions as an attempt to “divide the country into agencies,” noting that the Ukrainian negotiating team could not withstand pressure from the White House.

A day earlier, Axios journalist Barak Ravid reported that Ukraine had conveyed to the Trump administration its response to the latest draft of the US peace plan, which was prepared together with the Europeans.
