Samsung plans to increase prices of Galaxy A series smartphones in India, one of the key markets for its low-cost devices. From Monday, December 15, prices of most models in the line will increase by 1,000 Indian rupees (about $11 USD). This was reported by SamMobile.
A more notable increase – an additional 2,000 rupees (about $22) – awaits the Galaxy A56 model. This is a moderate increase, possibly aimed at maintaining product margins as they prepare to withdraw current models from the market.
Earlier this week, information appeared that Samsung may introduce the new Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 models in early February next year, earlier than the usual schedule (according to regulations, the release takes place in March-April – Gazeta.Ru). It is not yet clear whether the new line will initially be more expensive, but such a scenario cannot be ruled out due to the general increase in prices of components and memory chips.
Previously, there was information that Samsung was preparing to cut down on the production of cheap SATA SSDs.
