The US is moving weapons closer to the border with Venezuela. About this report RIA Novosti consulted the Wall Street Journal.

According to sources, the White House is increasing its military presence in the Caribbean to carry out targeted attacks on targets in Venezuela. At the same time, the United States is transferring weapons used to carry out targeted and covert attacks with minimal collateral damage – F-35A fighter jets, Boeing EA-18G Growler electronic warfare aircraft, Sikorsky HH-60W helicopters and Lockheed HC-130J aircraft for rescue operations.
According to the publication, such redeployment indicates US plans to conduct military operations, including the seizure of new tankers. In addition, experts also believe that ground operations could begin with cyber operations and attempts to jam satellite communications.
The source said: “The US military is sending more weapons and troops to the Caribbean, giving President Trump powerful new options to escalate pressure on Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro and potentially overthrow him.”
Previously, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said his country was building a defense system.
