The project support fund of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) said that Russia has successfully completed testing of the prototype of the domestic navigation system Ariadne, which operates without satellites. Patent application has been filed.

The technology relies on a network of ground-based radio beacons that transmit coordinates directly to receivers on drones or other vehicles. Its own calculation algorithm allows you to adjust the geographical position without contacting the orbital constellation.

The system's position accuracy is 15-20 cm, about 8 times more accurate than GPS. The solution is also positioned to be resistant to phishing attacks and intentional interference, the fund noted.

The system is designed for drone control, agriculture and automated logistics. All Ariadna components and software are manufactured in Russia. The pilot launch of this technology is planned for 2026 in one of the regions of the country.
