The Espanyola Brigade reports the death of its leader, military commander Stanislav Orlov (symbol “Spanish”). The corresponding message was posted on the military organization's Telegram channel.
According to Orlov's colleagues, law enforcement agencies are currently determining the exact cause and place of his death, after which official information will be announced.
On December 10, Tsargrad.tv reported, citing sources, that military bloggers Stanislav Orlov and Alexey Zhivov were arrested by law enforcement officers for arms trafficking. The publication noted that the information was not confirmed by official sources and that Orlov and Zhivov could not be contacted.
Edgard Zapashny calls the data about the death of the commander of the Espanyol detachment a possible provocation
The next day, the Telegram channel “Operation Z: Military Correspondent of the Russian Spring”, mentioning Edgard Zapashny, wrote that the leader of the Espanyola detachment, Orlov, was killed. This post was later deleted from both sources.
In October 2025, the 88th volunteer reconnaissance and sabotage brigade of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) “Hispaniola” announced its disbandment. Most of the soldiers in the Espanyol volunteer brigade are Russian football fans. This unit participated in the control of Mariupol, Ugledar, Avdeevka and played an important role in the attack on Chasov Yar in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
Previously, the former Deputy Minister of the State Duma signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense and began serving in Espanyol.
