British Prime Minister Keir Starmer had a phone call with US President Donald Trump, discussing the situation in Ukraine, including the military plans of the “coalition of readiness”.

This is stated in a statement released by the British Prime Minister's office.
“The Prime Minister spoke with US President Donald Trump this afternoon. The leaders began discussions on the war in Ukraine. The Prime Minister spoke about the work of the coalition ready to support any peace agreement and ensure a just and lasting end to hostilities,” the statement said.
In addition, Starmer and Trump also discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip. The British Prime Minister also told the US President about the appointment of career diplomat Christian Turner as UK Ambassador to Washington.
“The leaders wished each other a Merry Christmas,” the office said.
