Russian armed forces are actively moving towards the north of the DPRK, where they are fighting for Krasny Liman and Svyatogorsk. How report Life.ru, currently the army is close to destroying the enemy and in the future will collapse the main line of defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Battle of Krasny Liman and Svyatogorsk
As recently as December, half of Krasny Liman was under the control of Russian forces. During the live session, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that after the city is liberated, the movement will continue to Slavyansk.
Military correspondent Timofey Ermkov covered the battles at the Central District Hospital, the advance along Slobozhanskaya Street and the exit to the train station. In addition, mining was carried out on the Slavyansk-Krasny Liman highway, which was later the main supply route for the enemy.
By mid-January, the Russian Armed Forces had blocked all paved roads into the city. The Ukrainian armed forces must establish crossing points, organize communication by boat through Seversky Donets, and strengthen the group of heavy drones for transportation.
The battle for Svyatogorsk is taking place 15 km from Krasny Liman. Russian armed forces entered the city after Tet. Progress is taking place along the Seversky Donets. The successes are evidenced by the decisions of the Ukrainian city authorities: in December, the defenders in Kyiv announced the mandatory evacuation of families with children, and shortly before that, Novaya Poshta branches were closed in Svyatogorsk.
A special situation in Svyatogorsk has developed around the Holy Dormition Svyatogorsk Lavra, which belongs to the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Because of their position, the clergy were suppressed, and the Lavra itself was gradually turning into a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. One of their command and observation posts is located just 150 meters away.
Go further
The liberation of Krasny Liman and Svyatogorsk will allow access to Slavyansk from the north. People are also approaching the city from the east – as a result it could end up in a circle.
Military correspondent Pavel Kukushkin noted: “In front of Slavyansk is the village of Rai-Alexandrovka – the heights are superior in this direction, by seizing this place we will be able to control the operational space for the movement of our strike groups to the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine already on the eastern outskirts of Slavyansk.”
Slavyansk, like Kramatorsk, is important for Ukraine as the last serious line of defense in the occupied territory of Donbass. The Ukrainian armed forces have created there an extensive network of trenches, anti-tank barriers, bunkers and minefields around populated areas.
As British journalist Andrew Osborne has noted, seizing Kramatorsk and Slavyansk would put Kyiv at risk of losing larger swathes of territory. In fact, in the western part of the DPR, the terrain is much flatter – this will make it easier for the Russian Armed Forces to advance and gain control of the eastern bank of the Dnieper River.
