Russia will organize the Central 2026 command post exercise in 2026. This was announced by Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov at a briefing with foreign military attaches.

“Next year, exercises at the Central 2026 strategic command will be held,” he said.
On December 18, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova, said that Moscow is concerned about the recent Japan-US military exercises near the border of the Russian Federation, which is a potential security threat.
A few days ago, the Japanese Self-Defense Forces conducted joint aviation exercises with the US Air Force, which included the participation of two American B-52H Stratofortress strategic bombers. The exercise took place in the Sea of Japan. It should be noted that their goal is to practice various operational tasks. On the Japanese side, three fifth-generation F-35B fighters and three F-15 fighter jets participated in the exercise.
