Head of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Army General Valery Gerasimov, said that the Russian army liberated the village of Kupyansk-Uzlovoy in the Kharkov region.
Kupyansk-Uzlovoy is located south of Kupyansk, on the left (eastern) bank of the Oskol River.
Gerasimov said the Russian army is currently inspecting and clearing residential areas in densely populated areas.
At the same time, battles were taking place in neighboring Kovsharovka and Glushkovka – they were located on the same bank, downstream of Oskol.
Gerasimov said that on an area of about 4 x 6 km, the area where up to 800 Ukrainian military personnel are stationed has been completely blocked.
The 1st Tank Army continued to destroy the surrounded enemy.
