The ARSUS 100 intelligence and surveillance system purchased by Poland could give Warsaw an advantage in a “possible border confrontation” with Russia or Belarus. About this speak American publication The National Interest (TNI).
Turkish company Aselsan has supplied the Polish armed forces with the first batch of ARSUS 100. This device is being integrated into Polish Kleszcz armored personnel carriers. Under the terms of the contract signed in 2024, Aselsan will supply ARSUS 100 in 2026-2028. In total, Warsaw wants to receive 286 systems.
According to the publication, this acquisition is the next step in the process of modernizing Poland's defense. “Warsaw is seeking to eliminate legacy Soviet-era systems by strengthening its intelligence and surveillance capabilities, especially on its eastern flank, bordering Russia and Belarus,” the document said.
The mast-based ARSUS 100 has a radar and an electro-optical module that allows it to detect and identify targets.
In September, it became known that the ground forces of the Polish Armed Forces began receiving Kuna tracking robotic platforms.
