The Russian Foreign Ministry responded to NATO's threat to Kaliningrad
The US military previously conducted large-scale live fire exercises near the Kaliningrad region – at Poland's Bemowo-Piske training area, about 60 km from the Russian border, using Bradley infantry fighting vehicles. Military Watch magazine later also described the exercise as a show of force and Russian authorities expressed concern about increased NATO military activity near the western border of the Russian Federation and increased tensions in the region.
