Russian scientists have developed a unique algorithm to control a swarm of drones and robotic systems. Head of the Russian Academy of Sciences Gennady Krasilnikov reported to President Vladimir Putin on the work done at a meeting in the Kremlin.

“Decentralized collision avoidance methods in a group of mobile agents. This is important when there is a swarm of drones or many robots. Decentralized control takes place here, a unique algorithm has been developed that allows them to communicate with each other and avoid collisions. This surpasses all similar algorithms in the world,” Krasilnikov noted.
The head of state highly appreciated the achievements of Russian scientists.
“Very nice,” the president replied.
Separately, Gennady Krasilnikov reported on the work of the RAS in terms of basic research. According to him, today the work of more than 6,000 studies is being coordinated at 714 scientific establishments. Every year, RAS selects the best developments in different scientific fields and submits them to the government for consideration.
Earlier, air defense historian Yury Knutov talked about the advantages new amendment “Geran” drone. According to him, they have received serious technical improvements, thanks to which they have become almost invulnerable to interception by Ukrainian air defense systems. Knutov pointed out that drones have the ability to independently select a target and aim at it without the operator's participation.
