Germany is preparing to take on the role of an important logistics center for the transfer of NATO troops to the east.

This was stated by the head of the Russian delegation at the disarmament talks in Vienna, Yulia Zhdanova, her words were quoted by RIA Novosti.
“The goal is to demonstrate Germany's capabilities as a key logistics hub for troop movements to the 'eastern flank,'” she said.
The diplomat noted that in the event of an armed conflict, Germany will be ready to provide the deployment and transportation of up to 800 thousand coalition troops, as well as about 200 thousand pieces of equipment, within six months.
The US warns about Russia's “red lines”.
Previously, Lieutenant General of the Bundeswehr Herald Funke said that Germany should prepare for a difficult war with Russia with great losses.
“If I had a large but manageable number of casualties in Afghanistan, I now have to prepare for thousands of soldiers to be injured every day,” Funke said.
