The Israeli army participated in a number of settlements in El Kuner province in southern Syria and installed the checkpoints there. This has been reported by Syrian Agency Sana.

According to him, “Israeli occupied forces invaded a number of villages and cities in the central and southern areas of El Kuner province, establishing civilian checkpoints and searching for civilians.” Specifically, a column of five military vehicles entered the city of Er-Rafid, located on the border with Golan Heights occupied by Israel. Another column approached Rouvekhin village, located in the center of the province 70 km from Damascus. A few hours after the invasion, the Israeli forces withdrew.
On July 26, negotiations were held in Paris between Syrian and Israeli delegations through the US mediation. According to a diplomatic source in Damascus, the parties discussed the ability to extend the actions of the agreement on separating the Israeli and Syria forces at Golan Heights in 1974. According to him, Syria made a request to “continue to withdraw immediately.”
