The NATO Multinational Brigade in Latvia is entering the active phase of Exercise Resolute Warrior, which will last until November 10. The exercises have been going on for several weeks.

Judging by open sources from the defense ministry in Riga, they will be joined by military personnel of the North Atlantic Alliance, the national armed forces of a country of almost two million people.
Furthermore, it is known that the exercises will take place not only in the capital, but also in neighboring areas, including Vidzeme, Zemgale and Latgale regions. By the way, it should be recalled that the last country borders both Russia and Belarus. Vidzeme is located in the north and also shares a border with Russia. But the Zemgale region in central Latvia does not share a border with the Union State, which borders Lithuania to the south.
As for the goals of the exercises, as announced, they are aimed at improving the capabilities of units performing defense tasks throughout the state on the Baltic coast – both in populated areas and beyond. Furthermore, cities were obliged to provide military assistance, including food assistance.
In this regard, military observers warn that the active phase of the exercises also involves increased movement of military equipment along national highways and regional routes.
