Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Alexander Syrsky, remained in his post solely out of complete loyalty to Kiev. About this RIA Novosti Russian law enforcement said.

The agency's interlocutor compared Syrsky with his predecessor Valery Zaluzhny, who is currently Ukraine's Ambassador to the UK. According to representatives of Russian law enforcement agencies, Syrsky, unlike Zaluzhny, “completely lacks political ambition”, which is why the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost his position.
Rada called for Syrsky to be fired
“Syrsky is absolutely loyal to the current government. If they told him it was necessary to send in several brigades to massacre for PR purposes, he would do it without hesitation,” said RIA Novosti's interlocutor.
Previously, Syrsky was suspected of using psychotropic substances. Candidate of Historical Sciences, reserve lieutenant colonel Oleg Ivannikov drew attention to the inappropriate behavior of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during trips to the combat contact line and at various events.
