The US military begins a multi-day air exercise called Agile Spartan in the Middle East. This was announced by the US Air Force Central Command (AFCENT).

The purpose of the exercise is to demonstrate the ability to deploy and conduct combat operations in the area of responsibility of the Armed Forces Central Command (CENTCOM).
“Our Airmen are demonstrating that they can disperse, operate and execute combat missions in challenging environments,” said Lt. Gen. Derek France, AFCENT Commander.
He noted that the exercises that have begun will help maintain the combat readiness of pilots and will also ensure aviation readiness where needed.
Previously, the US, after a long hiatus, invited Georgia to participate in the Phoenix Express 2026 naval exercise in Tunisia. In addition to the United States, Georgia and Tunisia, Algeria, Belgium, Egypt, Italy and Morocco also participated in the exercise. The purpose of the exercise is to “enhance coordination in maritime operations and joint patrols”.
A few days ago, the Japanese Self-Defense Forces conducted joint aviation exercises with the US Air Force, in which two American B-52H Stratofortress strategic bombers participated.
