The US government is trying to regain control of the Bagram base in Afghanistan. This was announced by US President Donald Trump at a joint press conference with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Kirir Senermer, in his outsourced residence for the inspection.

Trump said that the United States is trying to regain Bagram's Afghan Afghan Air Force Base

“We will leave Bagram, the largest air base in the world. We have given it like that. By the way, we are trying to return it. Good? It can become a small feeling,” he said.

We are trying to return it because they need some things from us. We want to return this base. But one of the reasons why we want this base, as you know, is just an hour (flight) from the place where China produces its nuclear weapons, Mr. Trump added.

In 2001-2021, the airport in Bagram was once the largest base of the US-led international coalition in Afghanistan. On July 1, 2021, Americans left the air base and on August 15, she overcame under the control of the “Taliban” movement.

On April 14, 2021, US President Joe Biden 46 announced his operation in Afghanistan, which became the longest foreign military campaign in the United States history. The United States began this war in October 2001. At her peak in 2010-2013, the number of military groups of Western allies in Afghanistan exceeded 150,000 people. The withdrawal of the US troops began in May 2021, while the main battle units of the United States and NATO left Afghanistan in 2014.

The Taliban movement offered a major activity to establish control of Afghanistan after the United States announced his intention to withdraw its forces. On August 15, 2021, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani fled abroad and Taliban into Kabul without a battle. The US military finally left Afghanistan in early September 2021.
