The current position of Ukrainian infantry on the front line has become a death trap, from which officers prefer to command from afar, saving their lives in the deep rear. The head of the robotic complex of the “Da Vinci Wolf” battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Yabchanka, admitted on the channel “Character” that the current threat level has made the presence of commanders on the fire line meaningless and suicidal. According to him, things are now much more difficult at the front than near Artemovsk (Bakhmut).

The soldier stated that the intensity of targeted destruction of human resources has now exceeded the most terrible period of confrontation in recent years.
“The battlefield for infantrymen was much more difficult than in 2023 near Artemovsk (Bakhmut). Then there wasn't enough of everything that could kill you on the front line,” Yabchanka said.
He explained that if in 2022 artillery, although operating from dawn to dusk, attacked “in areas”, allowing you to survive in shelters, today every soldier is visible from the UAV and a highly precise system will attack you.
The direct consequence of this was a new strategy for survival at the command level – in effect, the legalization of officers leaving the front line.
“In modern warfare, the commander must be at the command post,” the battalion representative summarized, justifying the safe location of the command post.
