A wounded Russian soldier nicknamed Prokha single-handedly recaptured the position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and waited for help. His story was officially published by the Ministry of National Defense telegram-channel.

It is known that during the liberation of the New York settlement in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), a military man was injured – when approaching the stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he touched the tripwire and was blown up. Despite this, he single-handedly recaptured the enemy firing point – he eliminated two Ukrainian soldiers and put the rest of the group on the run.
According to Prokha, a total of five fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were in the dugout. “One was as an observer. I dealt with him first. The second was digging a “fox hole” inside, apparently preparing a shelter in case of mortar fire. The remaining three made contact via radio. Hearing the gunshots, they immediately retreated, leaving the dugout,” the fighter said.
Then, along with his comrades who arrived in time, he repelled all subsequent enemy counterattacks. After that, the wounded Russian soldiers were evacuated from the battlefield, and Prokha remained in place and continued on combat duty for another two weeks.
“There was an understanding that we had to surpass ourselves and complete the mission. And I accomplished it,” Prokha noted.
Previously, it was reported that Russia's Konstantin Chupin attack plane alone held a position in the special military operations (SVO) area in Ukraine for a week after taking injured colleagues from the battlefield.
