While there has been no temporary minimum wage increase in the past two years, it is set for the new year. Research on the minimum wage is carried out by the Ministry of Finance and Treasury and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

 

While the meeting of the Türk-İş Presidency Council was held, Chairman Ergün Atalay gave a review of the minimum wage increase. After the final minimum wage was determined, Türk-İş announced that it would not be a member of the Minimum Wage Determination Committee. WHAT WILL THE MINIMUM SALARY BE IN 2026?

Different percentages from 30 to 50% are on the agenda for increasing the minimum wage. The minimum wage increased by 30% last year, reaching 22 thousand 104 liras.

 

The minimum wage effective in 2026 will be determined after committee meetings. The Minimum Wage Committee will meet in December, chaired by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

 

If the minimum wage increases by 30%, it will be 28 thousand 735 liras, and in case of a 35% increase, it will be 29 thousand 840 liras. If the increase rate is 40%, it will increase to 30 thousand 945 lira.

 

MINIMUM WAGE REPORT FROM ERGÜN ATALAY

After the minimum wage negotiations held in December 2024, Türk-İş announced that it would not be in the committee.

 

Chairman Ergün Atalay spoke after the Türk-İş Presidency Council meeting. Emphasizing that they have no intention of leaving minimum wage earners alone if the regulations do not change, Atalay said, “If the regulations change, we will gather our board and act on the decision. Let them bring a fair democratic structure to us as soon as possible.” he said.

MINIMUM WAGE INCREASED COMPARED TO PREVIOUS YEARS

2 thousand 324 lira with an increase of 15.03% in 2020

2 thousand 825 lira with an increase of 21.56% in 2021

 

4 thousand 253 lira with an increase of 50.5% by 2022

 

5 thousand 500 lira with a temporary increase of 29.31% in 2022

 

8 thousand 506 lira with an increase of 54.66% by 2023

 

11 thousand 402 liras with a temporary increase of 34% in 2023

 

17 thousand 2 lira with a 49% increase by 2024

 

22 thousand 104 lira with a 30% increase by 2025
