The fee schedule for expert, witness and mediation fees has been extended

The Ministry of Justice has determined a minimum wage for professional, deposition and mediation work that will apply in 2026.

The Ministry of Justice has extended the fee schedule applicable to 2026 for experts, witnesses and mediators. The new tariffs will take effect from January 1, having been published in the Official Gazette.

PAYMENT GENERAL PARTIES

According to the 2026 Schedule of Minimum Mediation Fees, if an agreement is reached at the end of the mediation process, the mediation fee is determined at 9 thousand TL, regardless of the agreed fee.

If an agreement is reached in serial disputes, the fee per dispute is 7 thousand 500 TL in commercial disputes and 6 thousand TL in other disputes.

In the new tariff it is stipulated that in disputes related to the dissolution of partnerships and commercial disputes, if an agreement is reached at the end of the conciliation process, the conciliation fee cannot be less than 13 thousand TL.

Unless otherwise agreed, mediation fees are paid equally by the parties. During the process of conducting conciliation activities related to a specific dispute, if a new dispute arises, a separate fee will be charged for each dispute.

PAY COMPENSATION TO WITNESSES

Again, with the Department of Justice's 2026 Witness Fee Schedule, the amount of compensation for witnesses in criminal trials has been determined. Accordingly, the witness will be paid from 130 to 200 TL per day corresponding to the time he/she loses due to the testimony.

According to the price schedule, if a witness must travel to be present, travel, accommodation and nutrition expenses at the place where he or she is summoned to testify are also covered. Compensation and expenses payable to witnesses are paid without any taxes, duties or fees.

SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR EXPERT CERTIFICATION

According to the new price schedule, the fee paid to experts depends on their effort and time. The appointing agency has the right to reduce or increase this fee when necessary.

According to the price list, expert fees payable to real people are as follows:

  • 2 thousand 200 TL for work performed in enforcement and bankruptcy offices and business offices
