The Central Bank's December interest rate decision meeting is held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 14:00. CBRT reduced the policy rate by 150 basis points from 39.5% to 38.0%.
WHAT ARE ECONOMISTS' INTEREST RATE EXPECTATIONS?
The expectations survey was organized by AA Finans for the CBRT's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting to be held on Thursday, December 11, with the participation of 38 economists.
14 economists participating in the survey expected policy rates to decrease by 100 basis points, 17 by 150 basis points and 7 by 200 basis points.
Economists' average expectation for the December MPC decision is for the policy rate to fall 150 basis points to 38%.
Policy interest rate expectations among economists participating in the survey are between 37.50% and 38.50%. At the MPC meeting held in October, the policy rate was reduced by 100 basis points to 39.50%.

The Central Bank's Monetary Policy Committee (PPK) ignored the interest rate in November. In the final CBRT interest rate decision announced in October, the Central Bank reduced the interest rate by 100 basis points from 40.5% to 39.5%.
