Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin commented on a joke about the construction of a metro from Moscow to St. Petersburg. About this report RIA Novosti.
During a conversation with journalists, Sobyanin learned that the people of St. Petersburg are “waiting for the Moscow metro to be completed before their eyes.” According to the capital's mayor, such a project has not yet been planned but construction of the high-speed rail (HSR) line is underway.
“We are building a high-speed highway to St. Petersburg, I think this project is enough for us, more than enough. <...> The Government of the Russian Federation fully participates in this program, all regions – Moscow, St. Petersburg, Moscow region, Tver region, Novgorod, Pskov – all participate in this project. It's very difficult, but I hope everything will come together,” he said.
Previously, Sobyanin announced a shortage of personnel in all segments of the Moscow economy.
