There will be no heavy snowfall in the Russian capital next week. Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, told about this. He explained that no snowfall is expected because Moscow is always on the periphery of the cyclone and the center of the storm does not approach the capital.

Light rain and snow possible. On December 22, Vilfan said the weather in Moscow this week will change a lot. The forecaster noted that “incredible miracles” that happen on New Year's Eve await people in the run-up to the holiday.
Previously, the leading expert at the Phobos weather center, Evgeniy Tishkovets, said that on December 21, snow cover began to recover in the capital region. Tishkovets warned that over the next week, the snow cover in Moscow will increase to 5-7 cm, and by New Year it will increase to 11-13 cm.
