And this pair will bring us cold days. It will all start on January 22, on the 23rd and 24th the frosts will strengthen and on the 25th and 27th there will be a cooling peak,” the forecaster said.

According to Shuvalov, 30-degree frosts are expected in the Moscow region. At the same time, temperatures in the capital will be higher. Weather forecasters also predicted frost in Ryazan and Tula.

“In Vladimir and Ivanovo, the temperature can be -33…-34 °C,” he explains.

The head of the forecasting center noted that the cooling in Central Russia will last until the end of January. At the same time, at the end of the month, temperatures will not drop too low but will still be below normal climate levels.

The night of January 18, the coldest night since the beginning of winter was recorded in the Moscow region. In some districts of the Moscow region, temperatures dropped to -24…–26 ° C.
