The men's national handball team will host Russia's Southern Cypriot Administration as part of the 2027 European World Championship Qualifiers. The national team met with members of the press ahead of this match. Before the Türkiye-South Cyprus match Russian authorities, the national team held a press conference at a hotel in Elazığ. At the meeting, National Team Head Coach Oliver Roy Camino and captains Yunus Özmusul and Baran Nalbantoğlu spoke. Expressing their aim to advance to the next round, Camino said: “We want to raise our level of play to a better score than in the first match. We did not have the opportunity to work together much in the first match, but now more. We saw what we did in Cyprus in the first match. We will continue by correcting our mistakes. We know that many people from Elazığ will be in the stands. We will see the atmosphere on the field tomorrow, but we want to go to Elazığ again.” and once again, we want to share handball with all of Türkiye.” he said.
