American corporation Apple has introduced a new generation of AirTag smart tags. This was reported in a press release on the day website companies.

Smart cards are designed to find lost items. The second generation AirTag was introduced five years after the original device was released. This is also the first utility from an American company in 2026.
The company clarified that the AirTag has received a new chip that offers higher detection range and accuracy. The company says the updated beacon is 50% more effective at determining location than the first generation device. The new speaker is also 50% more powerful.
The updated Apple Precision Finding feature is available for the first time on smartwatches—Apple Watch Series 9 and later. Apple notes that the new AirTag is compatible with all existing accessories.
The price of the updated device remains the same. In the United States, the device costs 29 USD (2.2 thousand rubles), a set of four beacons costs 99 USD (7.5 thousand rubles).
Previously, Bloomberg columnist and famous insider Mark Gurman said that the new MacBook Pro will receive an OLED display for the first time. The computers will be released at the end of 2026.
