Kaspersky Lab: The word Love is the most common word in passwords

This was reported by Kaspersky Lab after analyzing major leaks, writes.

“The most common number combination is 12345. 10% of leaked passwords contained not only a number but also a number similar to a date – from 1990 to 2025. Among the words, in addition to love, names of countries and names were popular,” the document said.

The company also said the “life span” of a password is no more than four years. Additionally, 54% of passwords leaked in the past year were also identified in data files previously leaked online.

Previously, it was reported that Microsoft accidentally made entering passwords in Windows 11 more difficult. We're talking about an interface bug in build KB5064081, due to the password login icon disappearing on the lock screen.

The issue only affects internal users. As the support service makes clear, to enter a password, simply click on the empty area where you need to enter it
