Mexico -methane, the main component of natural gas, is actively used in energy and industry, but an important part of this resource is still burned at the production site. According to experts, up to 30% of gas does not participate in consumers due to high transportation and cleaning costs. This causes double damage: economy and environment. Now the problem is solved through the creation of low settings that can be placed in the well. Their mission is to treat synthetic gases, a hydrogen and carbon monoxide mixture. Science and technology.

You can increase the effectiveness by increasing the length of the reactor and the volume of the catalyst, but this causes new problems: the temperature along the reactor is unevenly distributed and the output catalyst stops working. To find a balance, the group created a computer model that showed a change in composition of temperature and gas during the conversion process.

We have calculated the minimum temperature that the methane reacts without excessive energy consumption and permitted gas supply. The model shows at 750 ° C and a consumption of 0.01 kg/s a reactor of 1.2 meters.

The development of scientists helps to solve one of the main tasks of the industry – the gas processing is relevant, today is burned massively in remote deposits. The new technology will help transform the waste into a valuable synthetic GAZ, reduce emissions and make the prey more environmentally friendly and economical.
